As part of my green outreach, I teach a bicycle repair classes for all ages. So dig that old bicycle out of the back of the garage. This is your chance to get it back on the road.
Question: Have you given your bicycle repair classes at school?
Mr.G: Yes. I do many traveling demos. Spring of 2014 I gave a Bicycle Repair Class at New Milford HS. Here is a link to the article: http://worlds-of-learning.com/2014/05/29/hangout-with-a-maker/
A highlight of the makerspace this school year was the visit from Ron Grosinger – an expert maker who came into school to run a bicycle repair workshop for our students. Our library was completely packed out with students and their bikes for the event.
Question: What other venues have you taught bicycle repair?
Mr.G: At the Liberty Science Center, I set up a basic repair booth. Here are some photos.
Question: Do you teach individual classes? What type of repairs do you teach?
Mr.G: Yeah, individual classes are by appointment. I am available for private lessons. The class will cover any part on your bike that needs repair. Here is an example of rebuilding wheel bearings.
Question: Where can I see more photos and follow your announcements?
Mr.G: I will post up info about events on my Instagram and Facebook fan page.
